CASEY LYONS
is a performer, writer, and musician from the Chicagoland area.
Casey has been performing professionally since age 11, most notably appearing as Gustave in the first national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies, sequel to The Phantom of the Opera. While on tour, Casey recorded “The Beauty Underneath” from Love Never Dies for Unmasked, Lloyd Webber's career retrospective album featuring the likes of Elvis and Beyonce. Other performance credits include Harry in Albert Herring at Chicago Opera Theater, the First Spirit in Die Zauberflöte at Lyric Opera of Chicago, and originating the role of Harold Baxter in Hazel at Drury Lane Theatre.
Casey is also an avid writer. Watching creators put together shows has instilled in him a great desire to create new works himself. He has written and self-produced three original musicals, Pedestal, Bars of Ivy (co-written with Caroline Miller), and Limelight. Productions of Casey's musicals have collectively raised $9,100 for charity. He plays piano and guitar.
Casey combines his loves of performing and writing as a music director. He has music directed each production of his musicals, and has several music team credits at Northwestern, including music directing the 93rd annual production of the famed Waa-Mu Show.
Casey is currently pursuing a dual degree in Voice and Opera & Theatre at Northwestern University. He is represented by Stewart Talent Chicago. Lyons is a member of Actors Equity, The Dramatists Guild, and ASCAP. You can find Casey @caseylyonsactor on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
